Cooperation - what is it?

Hey there Wildcats!

We've wrapped up our cooperation unit - everything from Walking Blind, Mat Turtles, Radioactive Ocean, Lifeboats, and Hula Hoop Hang On require working together! During this unit we focused on what working together looks like, sounds like, feels like, and what it is not. I like starting with this unit because the activities can be a good bonding experience as students interact with their new classmates.

The Wellness Committee met at the end of last week, and there are SO MANY things in the works! The Wilson Garden is in process, as you might have noticed coming into the parking lot. Wilson received a Fuel Up for 60 grant which provides funding for portions of the garden, as well as our school-wide wellness challenge.

Hopefully you've seen the Fuel Up to 60 Wildcat Challenge Calendar. Our Wildcats will be tracking their physical activity throughout the month in an attempt to reach the recommended levels of moderate to vigorous physical activity each day - 60 minutes! Don't forget - physical activity is accumulated - you don't need a large chunk of time to give your body and brain what it needs. Take the stairs, park on the outskirts at the grocery store, walk as a family after dinner, play at the park - just get moving! Exercise is always more fun together :)

Thanks for checking in!
