Hey Wildcats!
It's been a while since I checked in :) The last couple of weeks we have been working on throwing and catching skills - the intermediate grades then incorporated those skills into some cooperative games while the primary grades continued to focus on the fundamentals.
This week we transitioned into soccer skills. Our focus this week was on dribbling, trapping, and short passes. This unit is always fun for me because I feel like I learn a lot - quite a few of the students have extensive soccer experience, and I grew up in a town that didn't have organized soccer! I really need to do my homework for this unit!
Several of the teachers at Wilson started a 50 days of moving chart. We have a chart of 50 squares, and we fill out a square each time get a half hour of exercise on a given day. Feel free to join us! We are all trying to complete 50 days by December...since it's a little later in the game, you can always just come up with a reward as a family for when you finish the chart :) Thanks for checking in!
